The Coastal Waters Consortium (cwc.lumcon.edu) & LUMCON are hosting a 1-day mother & son workshop to learn about our estuary and recent research contributed towards the immediate & future impacts of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Event Details:
- Who: Boys ages 10-15 years old and their moms
- When: May 16, 2015; 9am-3pm (lunch is provided)
- Where: DeFelice Marine Center, Cocodrie, LA
- Cost: $10 a person with lunch provided
Activities Include:
- tour of the marine center
- fish collection and population survey
- squid dissection
- and kayak trip (weather permitting)
