Dr. Nancy Rabalais presented information about her research on gulf hypoxia during the April Gulf Lagniappe Adult Education workshop. Participants gained a greater insight about the causes, formation, and impacts of what has become known as the Dead Zone. Attendees then were taken on the R/V Acadiana for a sampling trip to learn about the methods used to monitor water quality and the organisms that depend on our coastal water resources.
